We worked on the complete renovation of this home for all of 2024. It is a 1920s gem of a storybook cottage designed and built by E.P. Janes. The renovation included refinishing the flooring, restoring and redesigning the fireplace, designing and installing an all new kitchen and bathroom, converting a closet into a Powder Room, altering the floor plan to accommodate more storage in the hallway and kitchen, and adding vintage, custom, and new furnishings and lighting. The clients finally moved in the beginning of January 2025 right before the Eaton fire erupted and destroyed the neighborhood. This is one of the few homes left standing and reevaluation and restoration is currently in progress. These photos were taken before the final completion and are not professional. It is to share our hard work and honor the miracle of this home and the beauty of Altadena, where a strong and heroic community lives and shines in spite of the tragedy it has endured.
